The Institute for Computational Research in Engineering and Science (ICRES) will coordinate, facilitate and expand research activities across MSU academic and research units and help maintain a leadership position for MSU and Mississippi in engineering applications of high performance computing. ICRES will leverage and expand MSU research efforts in high performance computing, physics based modeling and simulation, and science/engineering related to the nation's industrial base. ICRES will focus on economic development through its facilities in Starkville, Canton and Vicksburg. ICRES will benefit the state of Mississippi by serving as an economic engine in areas of systems engineering, manufacturing process control, development of new designs and products, and professional development for Mississippi manufacturers.
